This exercise will lead to a validated model for a cost-effective and consistent approach to include ‘risk' in organic certification. It will be presented and further discussed at Biofach in 2012. Stakeholders in organic standard setting, certification and production will be invited to comment, improve and accept After broad acceptation, the model will be distributed under Creative Commons License (shareware). The EU will be invited to accept and include this in its regulatory framework.

Invitation to join in

A plan has been developed and approved. 70% of the necessary time and costs are covered.

The initiators invite forward thinking stakeholders to join this initiative and;
- Invest 25.000,- Euro for the scientific preparations, implementation and/or to include additional pilot areas
- Join the advocacy at EU level for acceptance and harmonisation.
