Hivos is a Dutch non-governmental organisation inspired by humanist values. Hivos seeks to contribute to a free, fair and sustainable world in which citizens - women and men - have equal access to the resources and opportunities for their development.

The work of ICCO, Interchurch organisation for development co-operation, consists in financing activities which stimulate and enable people, in their own way, to organise dignified housing and living conditions. Fair Economic Development (FED) is one of ICCO’s three themes of work. FED is concerned with sustainable equitable economic development for disadvantaged target groups in developing countries.
